Kinvara 2-2 Kiltullagh GFA u15 league Divison 1

The final game of the season was played in Kinvara on Friday. As with the last few games numbers were tight. We had 12, with 2 of them carrying knocks. In an ideal world Eoin and Ethan would not have been asked to come but fair play to them they did and were a great to have. We found ourselves 2 down in the first 10 minutes. This would be an ideal excuse to throw in the towel. The amount of games played over the last 2 weeks, tired legs and injuries, but not this bunch, they played themselves to a standstill and 2 second half goals from Michael Hardiman and Rowan Lane got us the draw. We had other chances and could have won the game but as Renmore won their last game it did not matter in the end. They won the league and well done to them. The coaches would never view a season on just how many trophies are won. It's more to do with how the game is played, how the players conduct themselves on and off the pitch and to enjoy playing. The last 2 games we were very impressed with the th...

U13 GFA Premiership : KPFC 2-1 Knocknacarra

(T Daly 12’,22’) A hard fought victory this evening that stemmed from 100% commitment and effort from the boys on a blustery evening in Kiltullagh. Cathal Duffy captained the team today for the much needed points. The first half was tough physical football punctuated by 3 opportunist goals . Fortunately KPFC were ahead going into second half facing up the hill. Knocknacarra threw everything at us. Cormac (our goalie) played outfield and was so tired he had to go back in goal half way through second half. It was “Park the Bus” football with 20 minutes to go as injuries (JOB had to come off injured) and fatigue took its toll. Knocknacarra hit the post and had numerous chances cleared away by our committed defense. But these lads never give up.

Galway Fa U15 Division 1 : Kiltullagh 4-3 Oughterard.

A fantastic win for the lads yesterday. Played in brilliant sunshine we managed to keep our league hopes alive for another week. Same story as the last few weeks we had a squad of 12, injuries to Rian Earls and Ronan Maher have not helped. We hope Ronan will be ok in 2 weeks but Rian will be out for a bit longer and we all wish him well. The game was one that ebbed and flowed. Oughterard took the lead midway through the first half with a strike from outside the box that hit the cross bar then off one of our players who could do nothing about it and into the net. Up to that point we were playing really well and were unlucky not to have scored. The lads dusted themselves down and just got stuck into Oughterard and the persistence paid off with 5 minutes to go in the half. A ball played into the path of Michael Hardiman who went one his strong runs cutting in from the right and finishing well. Half time 1-1. We were pleased with how the lads played. It was a new back four with Jack Moran ...
