Kiltullagh Pioneers FC 3-0 St Bernard's.

By no means was this an easy game, we were on the back foot for a lot of the first half. A fine through ball to Michael Hardiman got us off the mark after 10 minutes. We still seemed just off the pace and were happy to get to half time 1-0 up.
A few points were made to the players at half time. It's easy for coaches to talk, but going out on the pitch is a different thing. The lads played really well in the second half, stepped up to the challenge and after Michael got his second we were in a strong position. The first instinct of this team is to keep the ball down and play football which they should never lose. Michael left his best goal to his third. A sweet chip in the last minute. There is no point in scoring 3 if you concede 4 at the other end. Our back 5 played really well building our attacks from our own half. Adam Davey made at least one brilliant save. Luke Ray was captain for the day and had his best game of the season. A good shift was put in by all 14 lads and a big thanks the U14 squad who helped out. Rian Earls, Fergus Deely and Mark Johnson all played their part in the win. The rest of the squad was Adam Davey, Adam Johnson, Luke Ray, Ronan Maher, Ethan Lally Eoin Naughton, Cathal Delahunty, Connor O'Higgins, Jack Moran Rowan Lane and Michael Hardiman.
Next game 21st April away to Loughrea.
