Kiltullagh Pioneers & Earls Engineering go International - Ollie Fahy
It was a Friday evening April 6th when a team from Self Help Africa Ireland represented Kiltullagh Pioneers of Galway in their first international on African soil. It was Ireland represented by Kiltullagh V Zambia represented by Alan Stars Kaoma Zambia. In 30 degree heat the game got off to the local cheering crowd in the Kaoma soccer field. After 5 mins Ireland were unlucky to go 1 down with an unfortunate OG from Ireland's goal keeper. The heat suited the locals with Kiltullagh trying to keep the pace and keep the pace they did with just 1 nill at half time.
The second half with Kiltullagh psyched up and were good enough to crawl one back with a superb cross in from Leitrims Ronan Kennedy to local come Kiltullagh Ireland transfer player Kande Le Le. Both teams batted well and could not be separated in the end. A penalty shoot out was required with the Zambians winning 8 to 6.
